Are You Chasing A Dream or Running From Reality??

How do you know when to give up on certain dreams, goals, and/or relationships? Is quitting always for losers, or does it take a real winner to admit failure and walk away? What do you do when your dream or goal doesn't work out?  How do you measure progress in a relationship to know if the juice is worth the squeeze? At what point in a difficult relationship do you realize that things aren't working or worth the work?

As negative as these questions may seem I believe they're all important in the growth and development of who we become as intellectual beings. Most people aren't honest with themselves, yet they somehow demand the truth from everybody they come in contact with.I don't wanna get too far off topic but in order to EXPECT the truth you must first learn to ACCEPT the truth. The following questions allow one the opportunity to challenge themselves and give deeper thought to the meaning of the word quit. All dreams cannot be accomplished, it's a statistical fact of life. Many would say that's a negative way to look at things, and even if its true it's also more productive to focus on the positive fact that all things are possible. While its true that all things are possible, the logical brain realizes that most things aren't probable. Emotions blur the ever so present lines that define the truth. In other words your heart will put you in positions and allow you to believe things your brain would've never even considered.

In order for one to be honest with themselves they have to take all emotions completely out of the picture. You can't possibly admit that you won't be the next Jay Z if you feel in your heart that you are the next Jay Z. No matter what anybody told you saying otherwise it just wouldn't sound logical and you might even consider it hate. "Don't ever let anybody tell you what you can't do" is a famous phrase emotional people say. At some point we all must realize that the things we were told as children don't always work as adults. Not saying they are baseless but my point is spend more time on the ground and less time in the clouds. Everyone cannot be a celebrity or famous. Twitter or facebook may in fact be the closest you get to your 15 mins of fame. You have a better chance of launching your own business than you do of getting on bad girls club or X Factor. Most of you can't sing, dance, rap or act. The majority of you won't make it. Don't look at this as me being negative. That would be you being negative about the situation. Instead take this time to reflect on your life and see where you could focus your attention more productively. Maybe you could stop kissing ass for that promotion your obviously never going to get and spend that energy on opening your own company. Or you can admit defeat and stop putting money into that failing company you started and search for another avenue of revenue. Your not a loser if you lose on your own terms, or if you realize you have more to gain by losing now than continuing to attempt to possibly win in the future. Not saying you should be a quitter. Just simply saying in life you have to evaluate your expectations. At what point is chasing your dreams really just running from reality?
